About Me

  • I've seriously attempted to lose weight about 5 times in my life. Twice, I actually managed it, and felt so good about myself; once in 1995, and once in 2002. I managed to keep the weight off in 2003, but it didn't last, and I have steadily gained a stone a year since then. I am bigger now, than I have ever been before, and it is starting to affect my health, and I need to do something about it right now. So join me, support me, or guide me along my journey. I need to lose 48.5 lbs to reach my initial target.

More About Me

  • I'm a 5' 5", forty something. I eat too much cheese. I just adore it. I drink too much wine, and this is probably why most of my weight has piled on. I don't do enough exercise, I could increase it, I love walking, and cycling, and at a push would go swimming. I don't tend to eat sweet things, and can easily say no to cakes, biscuits, chocolates and sweets. I'm a bit of an all or nothing person.

Try not to worry too much - hope this isn't too personal - but are you due for a period? When ever I'm on I lose less weight and sometimes not at all and it makes me bloat. If you are feeling a little bloated it could also be one particular food upsetting your tum... Perhaps you could avoid whatever it might be...

If you don't lose anything this week don't worry and don't lose hope - you've done fantastically so far, we all have bad weeks and believe me I know - I've been dieting for over 5 months now, my weightloss was rubbish in january - things are picking up again.

So don't worry, stay positive - you are doing great!
